AUDIT AND RISK COMMITTEE MEMBERS

INVITATION TO SERVE AS A COMMITTEE MEMBER AT THE OFFICE OF THE VALUER-GENERAL (OVG).

The Office of the Valuer-General (OVG) was established through the Property Valuation Act No. 17 of 2014 (PVA), which became effective from the 1st of August 2015. During the 2017/18 financial year, the OVG was listed, by the Minister of Finance, as a schedule 3(A) Public Entity in terms of the Public Finance Management Act.

To strengthen its current oversight committee structures, the Office of the Valuer-General (OVG) invites applications from interested persons who are suitably qualified to serve on the Audit and Risk Committee:

for a period of three (3) years

Minimum Requirements:

• Qualifications - B Degree; NQF Level 7.
• Certifications - Valuation Certification or Admitted Attorney/Advocate, or CIA or CRMA.
• Candidates must be suited to serve in the Committee, with above qualifications, and expertise and experience in one or more in the fields of Valuations, Legal, Risk Management, Information Technology, Auditing, Strategic Planning, Business, Compliance, and Governance and Public Sector Administration.
• Applicants must possess 8 years or more on management experience in any of the specialist areas enlisted above.
• Preference will be given to applicants who have previously served in such roles.

Remuneration rates are subject to SAICA/National Treasury rates
