Job Purpose:

To program a Haas CNC milling machine to manufacture hydraulic manifold blocks and general engineering parts, using the correct cutting tools with the appropriate tolerances according to the manufacturing drawings supplied.

Job objectives/Principal accountabilities:

  • To program the machine and work efficiently.
  • To manufacture components within tolerance using the correct gauges and measuring instruments to verify the sizes.
  • To make sure that general maintenance on the machine is carried out.
  • To ensure all work is performed in a safe and professional manner
  • Safety, Health & Environment Standards:
  • Safety and health problems are identified and reported to the safety Representative for rectifying
  • Hazardous situations are reported or resolved immediately
  • Safety and health equipment is available and ready for use
  • Incidents / accidents are prevented by effective operating of equipment and machinery, and by following health and safety procedures
  • Health and safety procedures are adhered to and updated as laid down legislation
  • The work area is safe and clean as per company policy

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric
  • 2 - 3 Year experience in assembly industry related product
  • Knowledge of processes
  • Knowledge of CNC machines.
  • Job knowledge
  • Policy and procedure
  • Industry knowledge
