Job Advert Summary

The role involves the management of a sales administration team that supports Broker Consultants and Life Assurance Brokers.

There is a strong demand for high quality, organized and repeatable results. The responsibilities are broad in scope, encompassing a wide variety of activities requiring rapid shifts in priorities. This is primarily a task-focused job, requiring a somewhat authoritative, directive leadership style that encourages results-driven, task-oriented collaboration.

Reporting to the QA Manager, the Team leader will be responsible to ensure that the sales support team produce high quality, detailed work based on established standards, guidelines and procedures within the prescribed SLAs.

This role supports the Northern Region (Pretoria, Centurion and Lowveld)

Minimum Requirements

Formal Qualification:

  • Matric
  • Qualification in Management or training in team leading.

Experience:

  • 3 to 5 years experience in the financial services or Life Assurance industry with a proven track record within a sales servicing administration team.
  • In depth experience of Customer Centric Service Delivery.

Knowledge:

  • Sound knowledge of the Life Assurance or Financial Services Industry.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture.
  • Set clear team goals.
  • Delegate tasks and set deadlines.
  • Oversee day-to-day operation.
  • Monitor team performance and report on metrics.
  • Motivate team members.
  • Discover training needs and provide coaching.
  • Training Broker Assistants on processes and systems (PowerPoint presentations).
  • Listen to team members feedback and resolve any issues or conflicts.
  • Recognize high performance and reward accomplishments.

Detailed Responsibilities Include:

  • Escalated queries (after sale service):
  • Premiums
  • Beneficiaries
  • Portfolio changes

Management stats:

  • Large FSPs
  • Prepare management stats for manager and Broker Consultants
  • Sales stats per Broker Consultant and region

PNS management:

  • Manage and resolve all escalations

Pipeline management in liaison with assistants and Broker Consultants :

  • Daily consolidation of outstanding medicals .
  • Daily consolidation of outstanding API/applications.
  • Claims queries.

General control of information e.g. Presentations
