Project Manager - Plumber

Our client, based in Paarden Eiland, is seeking a highly skilled and reliable Project Manager Plumber with a minimum of 5 - 7 years experience to join their dynamic team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch plumbing services to all of their clients, ensuring that all work meets industry standards and regulatory requirements.

You will be responsible for but not limited to:

Overseeing all aspects of multiple projects, from planning to completion

Ensuring compliance with job site safety standards and fostering a safe work environment

Ensuring high-quality execution of the projects

Ensuring projects are completed on time

Preparing and maintaining project documentation such as QC sign-off sheets & snag lists

Preparing cost estimates

Resolving customer concerns and complaints

Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues

Maintain a clean and organised workspace

Assist with material procurement and inventory management

Have a high knowledge of plumbing codes and regulations- Handle plumbing fixtures and equipment

Plan and allocate resources with operations manager

Ensure all H&S processes and policies are adhered to at all site projects

Pre-Site inspections should be conducted

Follow approved scope of work/program for all projects

Diagnose plumbing issues and provide accurate solutions in a timely manner

Ensure that all plumbing installations and repairs meet the requirements of the Plumbing Industry Registration Board (PIRB) and local building codes.

Complete detailed service reports, including the accurate recording of materials, time spent on site, and work performed

Perform inspections and regular maintenance on plumbing systems to prevent future issues and ensure safety and efficiency

Respond promptly and professionally to emergency plumbing situations

Collaborate with team members and clients to develop and implement effective solutions for complex plumbing issues

Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining a professional demeanour and clear communication with clients

Stay up-to-date with plumbing industry trends, codes, and best practices

Requirements:

Technical / Plumbing Qualification

Red Seal Trade Test Certificate

PIRB accreditation will be adv

Minimum of 5 - 7 years of proven plumbing experience

Experience with both residential and commercial plumbing systems

Familiarity with new technologies and innovations in the plumbing industry

In-depth knowledge of plumbing systems, including installation, repairs, and maintenance

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and plumbing codes

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

Valid drivers license and reliable transportation

Skills:

Must have excellent leadership skills, be able to lead a team

Excellent communication skills (English & Afrikaans) and the ability to work effectively with clients and team members

Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently

High knowledge of plumbing principles and practices

Excellent teamwork skills

Honest and hardworking

Strong attention to detail, ensuring high-quality workmanship on every job

Good understanding of safety protocols and compliance with local regulations
