As a Sales Assistant at Mount Nelson, A Belmond Hotel, you enhance the guest experience by providing immersive, therapeutic, and ambient service that elevates relaxation and tranquillity to a new level. Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Identify customer needs and provide tailored solutions to ensure satisfaction.
- Utilize knowledge of products and services to offer the best possible recommendations.
- Actively monitor and analyse sales performance against targets.
- Implement strategies to meet or exceed sales goals.
- Stay informed about the diverse range of products offered.
- Keep up to date with industry trends and customer requirements.
- Proactively seek out new sales opportunities.
- Engage with potential customers to expand the customer base.
- Deal with complaints from customers to maintain the stores reputation.
- Assist in maintaining inventory levels to ensure the store is well-stocked.
- Ensure the store is organized and ready to provide a positive shopping experience at all times.
- Greet customers warmly, assist with their needs, and provide product information to enhance their shopping experience.
- Handle customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system, including processing payments, returns, and exchanges.
Requirements
What You Bring:
- Proven experience in retail or other customer-focused environment.
- Knowledge of retail management best practices.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organising and leadership skills.
- Commercial awareness.
- Experience with Silverware POS or similar is advantageous.
- Banking skills
- Effective time management.
