Job Description: Beauty Consultant - Sol de Janeiro
Position : Beauty Consultant
Department : Sales
Location : Johannesburg - Sandton City Edgars
Reporting to : Retail Development Manager
Brand : Sol de Janeiro
Employment type : Fixed-term Contractor (3 months - 160 hours per month, FFT)
Purpose of the Role
The purpose of the role is to drive sales by providing an exceptional client experience aligned to brand standards and to consistently build and maintain the brand and retailer image by adhering to respective brand guidelines and policies and procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
BUSINESS PERFORMANCE
- Consistently achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
- Track counter and individual sales targets.
- Drive sales in store and virtually by utilising company and brand tools, product knowledge, processes, and guidelines.
- Assist in setting up and driving sales at Counter events.
- Ensure that all events, campaigns and launches are executed in line with respective guidelines.
- Provide feedback on sales/counter related issues or concerns.
- Adhere to all PCG and Retailer policies and procedures.
- Ensure that all stock management procedures and processes are followed.
- Ensure that visual merchandising standards are adhered to.
- Identify opportunities and challenges and actively build plans to optimise sales.
BRAND MANAGEMENT AND EXECUTION
- Increase brand awareness and image - ensure adherence to grooming and uniform guidelines at all times.
- Monitor competitor activity.
- Know your in-store ranking.
- Ensure that stock is merchandised according to brand merchandising guidelines.
- Know your stock versus tester ratio and report out of stocks to RDM daily to drive sales and maintain an exceptional client experience.
- Ensure that counter hygiene standards are maintained according to brand standards at all times.
CLIENT EXPERIENCE
- Uphold and reinforce the Client experience standards.
- Consistently provide an exceptional client experience in line with brand standards and guidelines.
- Build relationships and loyalty with clients.
- Pro-actively increase the client data base (attraction of NEW customers).
REPORTING AND ADMINISTRATION
- Complete tracking sheets (stock, sales, testers etc.) and submit weekly to line manager.
- Complete all progress reports required and submit timeously.
- Complete and update client cards for all new and existing clients and file accordingly.
- Ensure that counter file and administration is up to date at all times.
TEAMWORK
- Work in collaboration with other colleagues to drive and execute overall sales targets and provide support at all events.
- Support and assist new team members with onboarding and orientation.
- Build excellent relationships and work harmoniously with respective retailer and store team to achieve key deliverables.
- Work harmoniously with all internal and external stakeholders.
LEADERSHIP AND DEVELOPMENT
- Manage own personal development through performance management and individual development plan (IDP). Request training and feedback on performance and strive to improve based on these interventions.
- Upskill oneself regularly - ensure participation and completion of all brand and company development initiatives and programmes.
- Uphold and adhere to the Companys values - live these values in all interactions.
- Take personal responsibility for all issues facing the department and work as a team.
- Communicate with your line manager regularly and make recommendations on improving efficiencies and the client experience.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
Fluency in English - speaking, reading, and writing
Excellent communication skills
A passion for cosmetics, sales and people

An optimistic attitude and excellent work ethic
A deep appreciation for diversity - ability to work with people from all walks of life
Must be willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays (retail working hours)
Must have own transport
2-3 years relevant retail sales experience
Beauty/Retail qualification is advantageous
