Job Description

The core function of this position is to be responsible for the development, implementation, troubleshooting, maintenance and integration of HC systems that are aligned with HC objectives while enabling technology to meet the current and future business needs. Also Act as HC Global Services Business systems Lead to drive the management and development of cutting-edge HC Operations within the business. This position is responsible for managing direct reports, and championing innovative process enhancements to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness within the HC function

Required outputs: functional

  • Develop fit for purpose strategy and provide strategic & tactical direction to the HC Information Systems team, with management and ownership for the entire HC Digital platform, including all SAP modules, Payspace, Chatbots, HC service platform as well as any additional HC applications, that will enhance the operational effectiveness as well as the employee experience from a digital perspective.
  • Stay abreast of HC technology best practices and changing technologies to maintain his/her domain expertise and make recommendations for enhancements or change based on HC Systems landscape
  • In collaboration with the IT Support services team establish a design practice for Human Capital that will further embed a customer centric culture.
  • Drive HC value chain innovation.
  • Advise on implementation of risk mitigating initiatives within the HC digital technology solution implementation processes
  • Facilitate collaboration between HC requirements, business design, employee design and group strategy for alignment of objectives
  • To serve as a leader as well as hands-on technical expert for HCIS and will help build and execute a technology roadmap that balances the strategic and operational needs of HC and to support the HC Technology and Services strategy with the centralised service model. The incumbent will lead the digital HC transformation with the aim to change and modernize the HC landscape and ways of working, whilst delivering on an employee experience that will differentiate and strengthen AECI Limiteds employer brand to that of a top employer in the industry.
  • Participate in the end-to end project schedule for a system upgrade/ implementation from requirements gathering, UAT, user training and system go-live preparations
  • Lead HC digital projects and support in the evaluation and implementation of these
  • Partner with the Information Technology team to effectively integrate with and support the HC systems

Qualifications & Experience
  • BA or BComm degree in Human Resources, Business or Information technology (NQF 7) / 3 Year degree (NQF 7).
  • 15 years relevant experience in HCIS and HC Systems management at least 10 years on senior management level.
  • A proven track record of success in system implementation with good experience working with SAP Success Factors, SAP ECC and PaySpace
  • Broad experience of project and change management, through the complete project life cycle, preferably in complex situations.
  • Experience working in a global environment with multiple stakeholder groups at all levels within an organisation
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Customer (Employee) Experience required.
  • Understands how to handle, resolve, and escalate enquiries and change requests; passes on information promptly.
  • Intermediate to Advance experience in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in managing to Service Level Agreements in a metrics driven organization with working knowledge of global ERP systems and/or SaaS tools.
  • Ability to develop and maintain 3rd party vendor relationships and contracts, add input to relevant contract negotiations in partnership with procurement and legal colleagues as needed.
