Risk Services Showcase day 2025

The digital age is bringing rapid change. Businesses are becoming increasingly interconnected and borders around supply/value chains are becoming increasingly blurred. At PwC, we recognise the importance of technology risk services as a key enabler in organisations. Youll work closely with Information Technology, the business, and the audit and risk functions to align business processes and risk to the business environment through identifying risks and recommending mitigation controls. We offer a three-year contract, on-site training and valuable work experience. Were looking for talented, skilled graduates who can bring new ideas and a fresh approach to risk services.

Risk and Regulation (offered in Gauteng only)

• Conduct and provide research and insights into risk and regulatory related topics to support our clients ambitions
• Stay abreast of emerging risk types and the effect they may potentially have on our clients
• Stay informed about regulatory developments and changes which may have an impact on our clients
• Demonstrate strong analytical, data compilation and written communication skills in supporting the team in delivering projects

Digital Trust (offered in Cape Town, Durban, Gauteng, Gqeberha)

• Identifying key risks and controls and controls optimisation, including the configuration of controls around security and business processes and within IT environments
• Applying internal control principles and business/technical knowledge including information technology general controls and application controls; financial reporting concepts; working experience applying professional scepticism skills
• Interacting with clients on solutions and executing projects on client engagements, forming client relationships and demonstrating an understanding of the clients business
• Review of financial and operational business process controls
• Infrastructure and database security reviews
• Compliance with other regulatory requirements
• Due diligence on systems and controls
• Pre- and post-implementation system reviews
• Computer security reviews
• Privacy and protection of personal information
• Outsourced and co-sourced internal audit engagements
• Governance, risk and compliance reviews
• Performance audits and audits of predetermined objectives
• Work on ERP (SAP, Oracle, etc.) projects—assessing risk, identifying and testing controls and assisting clients to develop and implement solutions such as GRC
• Cyber security/IT audit/data analytics/ SAP

Internal audit (GRIA) (offered in Cape Town, Gqeberha, Gauteng, Durban and Bloemfontein)

By joining this programme, youll gain functional and industry insights, get to work with large multinational companies and help clients enhance their internal audit function. If youve always dreamed of working for a large multinational in risk assurance, then PwC is the place for you! In your role as part of our team, you will be exposed to industry and business leaders; CAEs, CFOs and CEOs; various business processes; and the latest methods of internal audit.

Forensics (offered in Cape Town, Durban, Gqeberha, Gauteng and Bloemfontein)

Managing risks, whether fraud, corruption, regulatory or economic and financial crime-related, requires a thorough, professional and independent approach. PwC provides a broad range of specialist forensic services and as a trainee you will gain exposure to the world of forensics through formal and practical on-the-job training, further developing your skill set in corporate intelligence investigations, forensic technology services, anti-money laundering, fraud risk consulting, expert accounting, dispute resolution, and risk and regulatory compliance management.

Requirements

Completing or completed one of the following disciplines:

• BBus Sci (Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Info Technology)
• Internal Auditing or Risk management
• BCom Information Systems
• Applied Mathematics or Statistics
• Econometrics or Economics
• Data Analytics
• Forensic Accounting or LLB
• Management Accounting
• Industrial or Chemical Engineering

Must be willing to pursue an honours degree in one of the above disciplines.

Academic average of 65%
