Role Purpose To ensure the quality and reliability of our applications, you will play a pivotal role as a Tester at Momentum Group Finance Technologies. In this role, you will design test cases, execute both manual and automated tests, meticulously track defects, and collaborate closely with development teams to resolve issues. With a strong focus on managing risks and timelines independently, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality outputs, ensuring our applications meet the highest standards of excellence. Requirements Education & Certifications:

• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a testing role with 2-4 years of experience in IT
• Advantageous: ISTQB Foundation and Agile certifications

Skills & Experience:

• Proficiency in API testing with tools such as Postman.
• Strong experience with test case creation, execution, and defect management.
• Hands-on experience in executing automation tests using Jenkins.
• Ability to script and run SQL queries for data validation.
• Experience with Java, IBM i Batch Processing, and other automation tools.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Hands-on attitude, confident personality, and the ability to work autonomously.

Duties & Responsibilities Testing & Bug Management:

• Design test cases and execute both manual and automated tests with a hands-on attitude
• Confidently identify, document, and track bugs, ensuring prompt resolution and re-testing
• Perform regression and smoke testing as required with minimal supervision, working autonomously when necessary
• Analyse test results and collaborate with development teams to resolve technical issues
• Maintain clear documentation of testing processes, procedures, and results

Automation & Technical Consultation:

• Take a proactive approach in identifying and developing automated tests to enhance testing efficiency
• Confidently provide technical expertise and support for other teams during peer reviews and projects

Collaboration & Communication:

• Work independently in an Agile environment while maintaining alignment with team goals and project timelines
• Communicate test outcomes effectively and confidently with all stakeholders, ensuring transparency and clarity
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, offering technical assistance when required

Risk & Project Management:

• Proactively identify risks that could affect the delivery of testing milestones and take initiative to mitigate them
• Manage testing tasks autonomously within agreed timelines, ensuring high-quality output and meeting project deadlines
