Director of Photography and Camera Operator

We are seeking a talented and experienced Mid-Level Director of Photography (DOP) to join our creative team for an upcoming reality TV show. This production will require dynamic and visually compelling storytelling to capture the energy, drama, and authenticity of real-life scenarios.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Director and Producers to conceptualize and execute the visual style of the show.
• Plan, set up, and operate cameras, lighting, and other visual equipment to achieve desired aesthetics.
• Supervise camera crew and ensure efficient workflow during production.
• Adapt shooting styles to dynamic and unpredictable environments typical of reality TV production.
• Troubleshoot technical challenges on set to minimize downtime and maintain schedule.
• Maintain the quality and consistency of footage while adhering to the productions creative vision.
• Manage and coordinate the setup, maintenance, and inventory of camera and lighting equipment.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Director of Photography or in a similar role, with a portfolio showcasing relevant work in reality TV or similar genres.
• Proficiency in operating various camera systems, including Sony FX series.
• Strong understanding of lighting techniques, composition, and camera movement.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills to guide and manage a camera crew.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and adapt to fast-paced production environments.
• Technical knowledge of post-production workflows, including formats, codecs, and data management.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and travel if required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with multi-camera setups.
• Familiarity with drone operation and aerial cinematography.
• Background in storytelling or documentary-style filming.
