Minimum Requirements
  • Grade 12 or equivalent NQF4
  • Relevant experience in applying job-related concepts, techniques and processes at the required level
  • Experience in working with senior management
  • Business English: Fluent
  • Work in extreme conditions
Duties and Responsibilities

Perform maintenance and repairs

  • Receive job cards to complete scheduled work
  • Repair elementary electrical, welding and civil (plaster, tiling, plumbing etc.) tasks
  • Lease with contractors on site when necessary
  • Perform weekly checks on racking, generators, doc levelers, fire pump and valve stations
  • Required to be on standby

Ensure safe working conditions

  • Ensure safety requirements are met
  • Demarcate working areas where necessary
  • Weekly fire pump and valve run together with documentation
  • Weekly generator run with documentation
  • Weekly doc levellers inspection with documentation
  • Ladder inspections
  • Weekly racking inspection
  • Concrete floor and bollard repairs
  • Boiler making tasks - Build the safety cages used for stock take
  • Inspecting and testing of the 380V truck plugs
  • Oversee ammonia plant and coordinate with EP for additional repairs outside of the SLA
  • Lease with contractors on site when necessary
