Job Advert Summary

The WMS controller is responsibility for ensuring maintenance and support of the WMS system, whilst providing business with assistance as and when required relating to reports and investigations relating to inventory management.

Minimum Requirements
  • Matric.
  • Previous work experience as a Super-User on a WMS would be beneficial.
  • Previous work experience in inventory management.
  • Advance Microsoft Excel capabilities would be beneficial.
Duties and Responsibilities

Inventory Management

  • Ensure alignment of system transactions relating to stock while in holding
  • Ensure alignment of system transactions relating to receiving and dispatching stock.
  • Re-supply stock on system during receiving process.
  • Responsible for physical and system locating of stock.
  • Oversee the movement, re-packing and maintain stock levels in the warehouse/identified location.
  • Assist in preventing shrinkages and losses while moving, packing, and maintaining stock.

WMS Maintenance

  • Maintain system in terms of updates, new products, discontinued product etc.?
  • Ensure stock is at the right location.
  • Link and set-up scanners.
  • Compare/interpret weigh-bridge stats versus claims.

Housekeeping, safety and security.

  • Ensure housekeeping responsibilities are fore filled.
  • Follow safety regulations and ensure it is understood and followed by staff aligned to your responsibilities.

Warehouse productivity

  • Assist with allocate the resources in terms of picking and performance to ensure the full utilization of people.
  • Optimize the use of picking cages.
  • Minimize idling time.??
