Job Summary:We are seeking a qualified and experienced sewing technician with a passion for fashion and a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in technical sewing and garment manufacture, with a strong portfolio demonstrating their sewing expertise. A contribution to designs and new collections will be a added benefit.

Key Responsibilities:

● Develop patterns, sketches, and technical specifications for new garments.

● Collaborate with the team to curate seasonal collections and special project lines.

● Source fabrics and materials, ensuring quality and sustainability in choices.

● Construct garments with precision, applying advanced sewing techniques to ensure the highest quality finishes. This is the main focus of this position.

● Conduct fittings and make necessary adjustments to achieve desired fit and look.

● Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer feedback to inform design choices.

● Manage time effectively and meet deadlines for product launches.

● Assist in maintaining inventory, measuring stock, and identifying necessary supplies for productions.

Qualifications:

● Bachelors degree or Diploma in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field.

● Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a sewing technician.

● Strong portfolio showcasing a range of designs and sewing skills, particularly for womens apparel.

● Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop).

● Excellent sewing, pattern-making, and fitting skills.

● Exceptional attention to detail and a strong sense of style.

● Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

● Knowledge of current fashion trends and customer preferences within the tall womens niche.

NOTE:

Pay: R7 000,00 - R10 000,00 per month
