DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES SHALL BE BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Ensure compliance with Group Safety and Security Policies
  • Arrange for equipment to be sent ashore for repairs/replacement/scrap and prepare the necessary waybills.
  • Control and ensure the correct receiving, storing, and issuing of all stock items.
  • Monitor stock levels and reorder timeously.
  • Process the ordering of spares as required by other depths (departments) and follow up on all outstanding orders.
  • Identify redundant and scrap stock and conduct regular spares audits.
  • Do regular updates on bin table and store floor plan.
  • Keep the stores documentation processing, computer data and filing up to date, including daily monitoring of mining consumables.
  • Inform the Offshore Manager/Offshore Technical Manager and Warehouse Manager of changing spares and maintenance requirements.
  • Maintenance of store area housekeeping and standards for all operating areas (RSA & NAM)
  • Performance of any reasonable task requested by the OSM/OTM.

REQUIREMENT AND SKILLS

  • Grade 12
  • 5 years of storekeeping experience encompassing all aspects of issues & receipts
  • Familiar with MS programs and computerised store systems
  • A general understanding of technical engineering aspects preferable
  • Valid Passport
  • Police Clearance Certificate
